Visual Guide to Resume Creation

This guide provides a visual walkthrough of Revamaze's resume creation process. Follow along with the screenshots to navigate each step of building your professional resume.

Accessing the Resume Builder

From the homepage, locate and click the prominent Create Resume button in the navigation bar or hero section.

This will take you to our resume creation stepper process where you'll be guided through each phase of resume building.

Step 1: Enter Your Personal Information

The first screen asks for your basic contact information.

Personal Information Form

Enter your:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location
  • Professional title

Click Continue after filling in the required fields.

All fields with an asterisk (*) are required. You can edit this information later if needed.

Step 2: Tailor Your Resume with AI

Next, you'll see the AI customization screen where you can tailor your resume to a specific position.

You have three options for input:

  1. Enter a job title
  2. Paste a complete job description
  3. Enter a URL to a job posting

After providing this information, click Generate Content and wait briefly while our AI analyzes the position and prepares customized suggestions.

Review the AI-suggested skills and content points. You can:

  • Select which suggestions to include
  • Edit any suggestion by clicking on it
  • Add your own custom points

Click Continue when you're satisfied with the selections.

Step 3: Choose a Template

Browse through our template gallery to find a design that matches your style and industry.

Templates are organized into categories:

  • Modern
  • Professional
  • Creative
  • Simple

Click on any template to see a preview with your information.

Use the customization panel on the right to adjust:

  • Colors
  • Fonts
  • Spacing
  • Section order

Click Continue after selecting and customizing your template.

Step 4: Import or Create Content

Choose how you want to add detailed content to your resume.

Content Creation Options

Option A: Import Existing Resume

If you're importing an existing resume:

  1. Click Import Resume
  2. Select your file in the upload dialog

  1. Review the extracted information
  2. Make any necessary corrections

Option B: Build From Scratch

If creating a new resume:

  1. Select Create From Scratch
  2. Use the section editor to add your information

For work experience entries:

  • Click Add Experience
  • Complete the form with company details and responsibilities
  • Use the AI suggestion button for help phrasing achievements

Repeat this process for education, skills, and other sections.

Finalizing Your Resume

Once you've added all your content, you'll see the Review & Finalize screen.

  1. Check the Resume Strength Score and suggestions
  2. Make final adjustments as needed
  3. Click Finalize Resume

Downloading and Sharing

After finalizing, you'll see options for exporting your resume.

Export Options

Choose from:

  • Download as PDF
  • Download as DOCX
  • Share via link
  • Save to your account

We recommend downloading as PDF for job applications to ensure your formatting remains consistent across all devices.

Making Future Edits

You can edit your resume anytime by visiting your Dashboard and selecting the resume from your saved documents.

Start Creating Your Resume
